Back in the Plastic Saddle

The Morning News' Paige Phelps uncovers the patio chair of the year!

Extremis is introducing this urban cowboy seat called the Bronco, modeled after a saddle. They tell us about the ergonomically correct design ...

"The horse saddle shape also promotes an active and straight-up seating position which is good for your spine. Not a luxury though, Qrater nights can be long... Bronco is made of rotation moulded polyethylene. A bar stool version is currently being developed."
The Bronco chair goes for $300 and the Bronco Barstool (complete with molded footrests made to feel like stirrups) sells for $450 at Positive Space in the Design District.

Round up your urban cowboy friends. With the comfort of a saddle and handy place to put your beer, there's no buckin' around with these chairs.

Good one! I'm always looking for unique conversation pieces that you can't just find in any furniture store. Thanks for posting.
